I spent 4 nights on the island of Gili Trawangan, see what I got up to...

1. Hire a bike - if you're here for a few days, you MUST discover the whole island, super easy and cheap to hire and find some hidden gems on this island to get away from it all (or sort out the hangover!). We were lucky enough to be able to rent direct from our hostel, this would be available in most hostels/hotels on the island.. trust me its a lot less sweaty to cycle than walk round the island!

2. Capture the sunset - Again, you'll probably need a bike for this, cycle round to the west side of the island on the coastal path to one of the many bean bag lined beach bars and enjoy the sunset, and of course make sure you get a pic on that famous swing ;) even a bad sunset on Gili ain't too bad..

3. Snorkel around the islands - Book a half day trip and jump on a boat to explore the surrounding Gili islands, Gili Air & Meno, these are by far the more gentile islands and so nice to stop by for some lunch and then continue the afternoon with some more snorkelling..
